
Prof Heather Greenfield
Adjunct Professor Heather Greenfield has 45 years of teaching, researching and consulting in all aspects of human nutrition in UK, Italy, Papua New Guinea, Australia, New Caledonia, France, New Zealand, Thailand, Indonesia, Laos and elsewhere. Her research interests include food composition, particularly of animal products; bone health; public health nutrition particularly of developing countries; food and nutrition policy, with particular reference to dairy products.

Dr Judy Cunningham
Dr Cunningham is a UNSW food science alumni. She completed her doctoral studies in the then School of Food Science & Technology, graduating in 1985. Her professional career has been spent largely in government regulation, working in both food and medicines regulation and standards setting. She currently works part-time at Food Standards Australia New Zealand and also undertakes some science consulting work for the food industry and government.

Dr Richard Sheldrake
Dr Sheldrake joined the ARC Training Centre Advisory Committee in June 2014. He brings to the Committee a wealth of experience in public sector management, having retired from the NSW Public Service after a career spanning 38 years, and almost ten as Director-General of a number of Departments, including Agriculture and Primary Industries. He is currently Chair of the NSW Division of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, and is also a member of the NSW Committee of the Crawford Fund.

Dr Michael Southarm
Dr Southarm has over 20 years of experience as a researcher in grain quality and grain-food processing. He is the General Manager of Grower Interests at Grain Growers Ltd where he works on issues that affect farmers’ profitability and sustainability. He has a PhD in Agriculture and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Michael is a member of the Australian Wheat Variety Classification Panel, sits on the Grain Trade Australia Standards Committee, and is a member of the Central Tablelands Local Land Services Agricultural Industry Advisory Committee. His passion for agriculture and food keeps him actively involved in his farming business with his family.
Dr Graeme Wright (observer)
At the PCA, Graeme is responsible for peanut breeding, the Pure Seed program and innovation. He is responsible for the introduction, breeding and evaluation of new peanut varieties with improved quality, disease resistance and yield performance throughout Australian production areas. He also co-ordinates applied R&D for other crops, farming systems and internal processing within the company including projects on maize, rice, functional foods, flavour assessment and carbon emission reduction technologies in collaboration with other R&D providers across the country..
